Nurse Practitioner – Cris Lipana
Cris Lipana is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with specialization in Family Medicine, recognized by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). With over 15 years of experience in the healthcare field, Cris earned his Master’s Degree in Los Angeles, California. His professional journey encompasses roles in Emergency Trauma, Intensive Care Units, and Nursing Management in Acute Rehabilitation settings. Dedicated to providing tailored healthcare solutions, Cris’s dedication lies in providing individualized care, placing emphasis on a holistic approach to maximize patient wellness and vitality in alignment with the core values of Sahara West Urgent Care. Outside of his professional commitments, Cris finds enjoyment in engaging in outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking and road biking, as well as exploring new destinations.
Physician Assistant (PAC) – Jakob Ham
Prior to his time at Sahara West Urgent Care and Wellness, Jakob served as a Family Health Physician Assistant (PA) for the 81st Health Care Operations Squadron (HCOS) at Keesler Air Force Base (AFB), MS. He managed and provided primary/preventative medical care to 7.5K DoD/VA patients. Assured medical care standards were met/exceeded through diagnosis, treatment plan development, and specialty referrals. As the Advanced Life Support (ALS) program director he oversaw/trained 12 ALS instructors along with personally instructing 22 ALS students. Additionally, he led a 60+ member disaster team as minimal team chief. PA Ham grew up in Copperopolis, CA, and attended California State University – Sacramento earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology – Exercise Science in 2011. He enlisted in the Air Force in September 2012, spending nearly 3 years as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) at Travis AFB before being competitively selected for the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP). He was commissioned to the rank of 1st Lt in 2019 following IPAP graduation and was assigned to the 81st HCOS Family Health Clinic. He was then commissioned to the rank of Captain after two years of diligent service as a Family Health PA. He separated from active duty in December 2023, and along with working at Sahara West Urgent Care and Wellness, will be joining the 301st Air Force Reserves based out of Fort Worth Texas.
